The beloved British writer Lewis Carroll kept a detailed journal of his life, including his close relationship with young Alice Liddell, the 11-year-old muse who inspired Alice in Wonderland. Upon Carroll’s death it was discovered that several pages of his otherwise immaculate journal had been torn out.
Now after more than a century of swirling rumors, this play takes us down the rabbit hole to explore these missing pages and what might have occurred between the legendary storyteller and the young girl who inspired one of the most famous stories ever written.

Based on Mark Twain’s classic tale about two boys in 16th century England who trade clothes one afternoon, and accidentally trade lives as well! As the boys learn to function in each other’s worlds, they both learn important lessons about inequality and justice. In the end, matters are set right again, with one of the boys resuming his rightful, royal place, and the other accepting a position that recognizes his natural intelligence and good heart. (For ages 7+)

A Co-production with Circle X Theatre Co.
sort of adapted from “The Seagull” by Anton Chekhov
NOMINATED FOR THE 2014 OVATION AWARD FOR BEST PRODUCTION OF A PLAY (INTIMATE THEATRE)!
In this irreverent remix of Chekhov’s The Seagull, an aspiring young director rails against art created by his mother’s generation, a nubile young actress wrestles with an aging Hollywood star for the affections of a renowned novelist, and everyone discovers just how disappointing life, art, and growing up can be. Chekhov’s characters still ruminate on love, revolution and the pursuit of happiness, but this time with a lot more snark as the subtext bubbles to the surface. With music, meta-theatricality, and mad humor, playwright Aaron Posner beats The Seagull to a bloody fucking pulp.

Created in Collaboration with Critical Mass Performance Group
Nancy Keystone’s ALCESTIS is a visceral exploration of the literal life-and-death struggle of a woman who volunteers to die to save her husband’s life, and the deals people make the with the gods to avert the death decree. Hilarious, heartbreaking, highly stylized and physical as only Keystone and Critical Mass can be, this piece freshly investigates the nature of sacrifice, death, and the overpowering will to live.
